By Rob Markman Mobb Deep isn’t wasting any time. After announcing their new label distribution deal with Sony RED on September 2, Havoc told XXLMag.com that he and his partner-in-rhyme Prodigy are planning to release an EP on the day after Thanksgiving. “We have an EP coming on Black Friday,” Havoc said of the upcoming November 25 project. “We didn’t come up with a title yet, but we’ll have a title that will mean something. It will be like seven or eight songs. I did like three. We have some produced by J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Alchemist and this kid named Young Free.” The duo spoke to MTV News back stage at Rock the Bells in New York City and touched on their upcoming self-titled LP. At the time they had no date for the Mobb Deep album, which will seemingly come after the EP. "Right now, it's just a monumental thing for us, you know, it's been a long time coming. We're excited about it. We got a lot of music ready to go, we've been working on this Mobb album since I got home," Prodigy said. "Everything is just up to par, the production — from Hav's production to our lyrics to all the ideas from videos to everything — we're just really ready to go and get things started." As of now, the EP has no title or guests, though Havoc hinted to XXL that he and Prodigy are working on securing a cameo with big name artist. Nas & Mobb Deep working on a album( via MTV.com)

Queensbridge unite! Last night during a press conference for Rock the Bells 2011, Mobb Deep’s Havoc told HipHopDX that he, Prodigy and Nas will be working on a joint album.
"We’re gonna do a Mobb Deep and Nas album. It hasn’t begun but we tipped the iceberg a little bit with the 'Dog Sh--.' I think as we was working, doing songs back and forth with Nas recently, I think it was just a mutual thought, like, 'Yo, let’s make a f---ing album.' Everybody was like, 'Yeah, that would be dope. F--- it, what we waiting for? Let’s do it.'"

The Queensbridge MCs have recently collaborated on “Dog Sh--t," a track recorded and released after Pee and the Illmatic rapper settled their differences. When MTV News caught up with Mobb Deep in mid May, Prodigy said that fans can expect more music from Nas and M-O-B-B. "We put that aside and was like, 'All right, let's start doin' some music.' We had the 'Dog Sh--' and made a couple of other joints that's crazy," he said.
Sway also sat down with Nas a few days later and asked about the possibility of any more Mobb collaborations beyond the already leaked “Dog Sh--,” but during that interview Nas didn’t commit, citing that his upcoming solo album is his priority. "At the moment, I just got back into the studio, and my focus right now has been just starting to work on the album, so who knows?" he said.
Check back with RapFix and MTV News for more details as they unfold.
