By Rob Markman Mobb Deep isn’t wasting any time. After announcing their new label distribution deal with Sony RED on September 2, Havoc told XXLMag.com that he and his partner-in-rhyme Prodigy are planning to release an EP on the day after Thanksgiving. “We have an EP coming on Black Friday,” Havoc said of the upcoming November 25 project. “We didn’t come up with a title yet, but we’ll have a title that will mean something. It will be like seven or eight songs. I did like three. We have some produced by J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Alchemist and this kid named Young Free.” The duo spoke to MTV News back stage at Rock the Bells in New York City and touched on their upcoming self-titled LP. At the time they had no date for the Mobb Deep album, which will seemingly come after the EP. "Right now, it's just a monumental thing for us, you know, it's been a long time coming. We're excited about it. We got a lot of music ready to go, we've been working on this Mobb album since I got home," Prodigy said. "Everything is just up to par, the production — from Hav's production to our lyrics to all the ideas from videos to everything — we're just really ready to go and get things started." As of now, the EP has no title or guests, though Havoc hinted to XXL that he and Prodigy are working on securing a cameo with big name artist.
